We’re living in unprecedented times, and we’ve seen many businesses handle the current market volatility in a great many ways. Here at First Metals, we want to make things as easy as we can while not creating more work for ourselves or our customers. After careful consideration and a few trial runs, this is where we landed.

Disclosure statement

Validity

Our quotations are currently valid for orders occurring within a seven-day period of the quotation being issued. If you intend to place an order in reference to a quotation which is older than fourteen days, confirmation or adjustment of pricing will be required.

Tooling

Tools and/or tooling which is created by First Metals and Plastics Inc. (FMP) will be the property of FMP. FMP will be responsible for regular maintenance of tooling. Major repairs and/or replacement of tooling will be the responsibility of the customer.

Pricing

The pricing quoted herein is based on current costs and is subject to change without notice. Material cost increases due to market changes are anticipated, and material-based cost increases should be expected. Customer will be notified of discrepancies between PO pricing and new pricing due to cost increases via a new quotation or the inclusion of an additional line item for a surcharge. These pricing amendments must be agreed to by the customer before orders will be acknowledged by FMP.

Expedition

Any expedition fees will be agreed upon before and included within acknowledgements.

Revision

Any desired change in requirements of any component or assembly which has been quoted by FMP or ordered from FMP previously, be it to dimensions, materials, conditions, packaging, finishing, or the like, will require a new quotation to be generated by FMP and agreed upon by the customer before such changes will be deployed by FMP into the production processes or the part thereof. Any order placed for a quoted part number without expression of revision will be manufactured according to the process quoted theretofore.

Acknowledgement

Exactly none of the terms or conditions listed or described on a customer’s purchase order are agreed to by FMP unless or until FMP acknowledges the purchase order by responding with a formal signed acknowledgement which includes the aforementioned purchase order’s unique identification number.
